4 Common Errors Made By Novice Level Medical Marijuana Growers License Holders

For experienced growers, making a good cultivation is easy. Although, for beginner level medical marijuana grower license holders, the entire process can be tricky. To yield a good volume of buds, you need to manage a lot of moving parts. For example: growers have to take care of nutrients, technical aspects(indoor growing), light, pest control, etc.

What is a marijuana growers license?

There are many states which allow entrepreneurs and business-owners to step into marijuana cultivation. Under state laws, business owners can apply for a license to grow marijuana(indoor and outdoors). The marijuana growers license is available for both medical and recreational use. Marijuana growers license holder: Common Mistakes

Most novice growers follow a process that could destroy their plants. In case you are planning to become a grower, avoid making these common mistakes.

Germination Method

Today, you can easily access fresh cannabis seeds with 90-100% of germination rate. But, even if you have a high-yielding seed, you still need an effective germination method. One of the most common ways to do it is by using sheets of wet paper and sealed plastic bags. Avoid storing your seed in a hot and dry place: doing this reduces the potency of seeds.

Water Check

Most common mistake made by new marijuana growers license holders is in watering. Frequently, growers cannot get a better yield because they over-watered the plants. Unlike some other plants, cannabis plant roots don’t enjoy sitting in wet soil for a long time. They need a ‘break’ from water, and enjoy dry soil as well. Grower should always monitor the water level in the soil.

Excessive Feeding

Similar to over-watering, even over-feeding the cannabis plants will take a toll on your yield. Less experienced growers would feed the plant too often, sometimes to boost the plant growth. Mostly, they end up over-feeding the plant: it slows down plant growth and quality. New growers must first learn about plant nutrient intake. Once you know about it, slowly and steadily, you can increase the nutrient capacity.

Temperature Control

Cannabis plants thrive when the temperature is around 25°C. That said, if your plant is consistently facing 30°C, expect a low-yield and it’s same with cold temperature (below 20°C). For new growers, it is essential to monitor the temperature of the plant. Keep it steady and you will get a better yield. You can use a thermometer to check the current temperature.

Rooting To You

Cannabis, like any other plant, needs proper care, love and a good environment to thrive. In case you are a new grower, don’t worry! With a little research online you can find a growers guide. There are plenty of cannabis growers manuals out there, which offers step-by-step instructions. For example:  Ed Rosenthal (Author) Growers manual etc. Also, you can use aforementioned tips and tricks to produce a high-quality yield from your next batch.
